Our extensive DVD and video lending library is available to all member-insureds free of charge. Members can borrow up to three (3) titles at a time, for up to three (3) weeks.
Defensive Driving Training
The majority of all motor vehicle crashes are caused by improper driving. Defensive driving courses help keep your employees and volunteers safer on the road, and reduce your liability costs. Free driver training is available to member-insureds with an auto liability policy. We offer several training options:
- Classroom training – a certified driver training instructor will come to your location to conduct classroom training at a date and time convenient for you.
- Online training – accessible anywhere there is a computer with Internet access
- Self-Study – video based training
NIAC staff is available to make presentations from 1/2 hour to 3 hours in length on a variety of topics. The topic and manner of presentation can be tailored to the special needs of the audience. In order for this to be cost-effective, we ask that there be a minimum of 30 attendees.
Preventing Sexual Harassment Training for Supervisors - Online
Free training to assist our member-insureds with compliance of mandatory sexual harassment training for supervisors under Assembly Bill 1825. This interactive Internet program teaches managers to recognize the kind of conduct that frequently forms the basis of harassment claims, but is seldom recognized as being unlawful. Begins with the basics of preventing harassment in the workplace and then focuses on the difficult and complex harassment questions that arise in the workplace. Available in California only.
These 60-90 minute sessions are ideal for in-service training on risk-management skills, or for polishing and orienting senior management and board members to individual aspects of managing risks in nonprofit organizations. The interactive format of the live sessions permits questions from the participants and responses from the expert(s). All regular live and recorded sessions are free to our member-insureds. A discount code is required for all sessions.
